About the position

Join a leading open source software company as a Cloud Support Engineer, providing expert support for Ubuntu and open source products.

Requirements

Required:

  • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
  • Hands-on and extensive working experience in supporting Linux systems including virtualization and cloud technologies
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience with Linux integration and stack traces
  • Extensive customer support experience is key

Nice to have:

  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events
  • Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results

Responsibilities

  • Investigate issues reported by customers by researching and escalating issues
  • Work to resolve complex customer problems related to Canonical’s portfolio of products
  • Ownership of results: Ensure that each support case is handled according to our Service Level Agreement
  • Engage directly with customers and work collaboratively to resolve their issues
