About the position
Join the Compute Team as a Platform Engineer to build cloud-portable infrastructure and collaborate with product and infrastructure teams. This role involves auditing current platforms, designing for portability, and maintaining Kubernetes-based orchestration.

Requirements
Required:
- Have 8+ years of experience in platform or infrastructure engineering
- Have experience working with multi-cloud environments at scale
- Are experienced with Kubernetes and comfortable running it across multiple environments (AWS, GCP, and Azure)
- Have been through at least one cloud abstraction, portability, or re-platforming initiative
Nice to have:
- Communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Have experience in async or globally distributed teams
- Are energized by solving real-world problems for developers
Responsibilities
- Audit existing infrastructure components to identify cloud-specific dependencies and build a structured, actionable migration backlog
- Design and implement cloud-agnostic abstractions over compute, networking, and storage layers
- Collaborate with platform and product engineering teams to ensure new work is built with multi-cloud portability in mind from the start
- Contribute to architecture decisions around target cloud environments and colocated infrastructure options
